caribbean live sand won't clear up?

    yeah, I followed the directions to a T and still got cloudiness, I used the biomagnet, and it settled in a few days. but its still a fairly messy sand, the one thing I did like about it is that there were no asternia or other jerk offs in it

    from a handful i grabbed out to look at, it looked very nice. a few shells here and there, but really smooth sand.

    oh its super nice once it settles lol. thats the only bad thing i have found with it. I used 4 bags in my 100 gallon cichlid tank, and all the biomagnets, plust a syphon with filter sock/floss. didnt clear up for 2 weeks. I was so ticked. but my reef cleared up in 3 days

    just got filter sock and cut to size carbon pad today!

    I used 120lbs of carribsea..........took a month!!!!!!!! all of december til it cleared. Looks good now though but we all learn somehow lol.

    I just don't understand how this is possible. I used 80 lbs and had no issues.

    maybe you got a super fresh, clean bag. or maybe you didn't get the live stuff? or amazing filtration! lol

    Got the live stuff, was not expired, no filtration at all.
