    Thank you Jerseyreefer

update - algae is now kicking in big time - not done any testing at all yet, want to get rid of the diatoms and have the tanks full of greens and reds before bothering

have 1 decent hitchhiker that seems to be doing OK and probably benefiting from the lquid supplements I have been adding to fuel the algaes

    thanks malac0da13
Im going to wait until all brown has gone, and only green/ reds are present
at that stage, I will also test Nitrate and Phosphate
and in the mean time will continue to share water between the 4 set ups in order to try and keep levels similar between the 4

Looking good! (never thought someone would be saying that to a tank full of algae did you?) LOL

Can't wait to see the results of this, Thanks again for the contribution of time, effort and expenses. You're really doing the reefing some serious good. :)

    K+ to you

Oh I can not wait for the games to begin. It looks you hit the jackpot algae wise and image #2 looks like it may have some crystophytes ( the fluffy whitish colored stuff). I would love to see what the carbon dosing would do for that.

Nice going, Steve! That's getting green quick!
I have my money on the GFO for the green algae. For the brown slimy ones it seems to run into a problem..... as if it could not keep up with it after 3 weeks, 4 at the top. I can't wait to see the most filthy tanks in the world match up to the salt water industry.

I'm having problems with the first few sets of pictures of the beginning of this thread. I cannot get them to show on my phone. The last set does show fine though.
