    They are all the same Genus. There are different species and different sub-species. We have some critters in our tanks that haven't even been identified yet.

    Just to add to the confusion I believe this is actually a branching variety of Lobophyllia.

    With regards to the Caulastrea genus, I would agree that there are many species and sub-species that are not clearly identified...and many are very similar so it's hard to say which is which in many cases...thankfully care and placement are pretty much the same for all.
