can you use a razor blade to clean the glass?

    Diatoms will go away on their own as soon as the silicates they feed on are gone.Silicates come from new plastics,sand.

    Use a mag float for diatoms. even though a razor blade works on glass..as stated above it is easy to cut the silicone corners and such. Also, even with a razor blade, if you hit the glass at the wrong angle, you CAN scratch it. Take this from experience.
