    s there any other type of tank setup where you would actually want a crab like this?

    It probably couldn't do any harm to a fish only tank.

    Most likely. My emeralds (several years ago) decimated the caulerpa before turning on sessile inverts.


    I wouldn't advise selling (or even giving) it to an LFS unless I was 110% certain that they would not resell it as a scavenger to an unwitting newbie.

    Yes... a species tank. I've actually considered my own marine crabitat. As destructive as they are, crabs are still cool.
