    compact flourescents or power compacts, they are the same thing.

    Basically without knowing exactly what type of lighting you have, and the tank dimensions, it's really hard to give you a good, thought out answer. If you can get exactly what type of lighting you have from your dad or whomever, then we can help you out much more.

    How deep is your tank? I have a clam under PCs and it is doing great. Depth is also a concern when it comes to lighting.

    well how deep is yours and ill jsut put mine at the same lighting area. and its19 inches from lights to the top of my sandbed

    I have my lights 3 inches above the water and the clam is 6" below the surface. It also depends on the bulbs and style of reflectors. You aren't making this easy to hel you and give you a definite answer.

    i know im sorry ill know by tommorow my lights are about 1inch above the surface if that

    ok so i found the strength of my daylights its 65 watts 10,000K and 6,700K and there compact fluorescent is that enogh light to have one?
