    My tank is pretty stable now, been seeing some nice growth lately...I have 4 bulbs T5HO...here are my params.

    Nitrate-5-10ppm
    nitrite-0ppm
    Ammonia-0
    Calcium-220
    Alk-8dkh
    salinity-1.024
    temp-79.2

    Calcium needs to be above 360, 420 would be better, nitrates should be below 2

    Sorry!! the calcium is good...its at 420! lol....and ive kept my tank at nitrates at 5-10ppm for like 4 months and its doing good?

    Nitrates at 5-10 will not harm most clams. The same is not true of SPS corals. But clams should be ok. You say you have 4 T5 bulbs - what size tank?

    its a 29g...it has individual reflectors...i can grow all LPS fine...And i figured a derasa clam would be fine under them?

    Everything looks good!

    Clams actually feed off nitrates....

    About...18 inches?? but im pretty sure thats what it is...

    4 bulb fixture is decent but what bulbs do you use, and and is how are the reflector/s on the fixture. all of this can make a difference in keeping a clam. The right bulb, reflector and setting.
