If you tear it off the rock, the little bits clinging to the rock will regenerate into new 'shrooms. It is really weird how that works......

Had one that kept doing that to itself... lol... moved around quite a bit and left one or two little pieces of its base every time, and every one of them grew a new shroom.

I have a noobie question that I almost probably think I already know, but I've been drinking and I have skepticism looming in my mind being this will be my first attempt to frag a mushroom, will the base that I just cut grow into a new mushroom?

Disregard, I did some more searching and found what I thought I knew, the base will grow back, hence the point of fragging.......thank you anyways

You could just cut in half so you dont take as big of a risk for your first time and make sure you give each side part of the mouth.
