    My params are
    sg-1.024
    temp-79
    am-0
    nitrite-0
nitrates and phos both test 0,but i know i have both, they are just locked up in my wonder algae farm.:cheesy:
    cal-440
    alk-9
    mag-don't test (yet)

But my question is-as coralline is exploding on my back wall, plastics and my glass,i notice that it is receeding or bleaching on my rocks.Could this be from my algae troubles?

I dont know for sure is what I meant to say. Multiple things could cause this including new lights, moving your rock work around, low water during water changes, etc etc. The lighting needs to stay fairly consistent including the amount of time the lights are on each day. Hope this helps.

My question may not have been that clear either,i'm just wondering if my promblem algae is taking up nutrients that would be beneficial to the coralline,or mabey from a blockage of light because of the bryopsis.

I got tired of weeding my tank of what i thought was gha that i just could not get rid of,but it wasn't until i got lazy on manual removal and let it grow that i noticed the feathery edges of develope and realised that it was bryopsis.Starting the tech-m treatment very soon.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I doubt your mag could be so low that the level would adversely affect the coralline, plus the ca and alk are in line.

    Lighting has not changed.
You have not changed the scape.

Are you chitons eating it? Or something else?

I don't believe the chitons are as it's whole areas that are turning white, and i can usually see a "path" that the chitons carve in algae,so i'm pretty sure they're not the culprit.I do have a few asterinas, but i've been plucking them since they keep getting in my zoas and agitating them.I'm really wondering about the algae because the coralline is doing great everywhere but where i want it.??

Coralline algae doesn't seem to maintain it's color when continually exposed to strong direct light. The most colorful coralline in my tank grows in the shade. The back and side glass receive less light and are covered more.

Elevated levels of nutrients may also play a part in the coralline algae growth. The coralline's ability to grow on different surfaces may have some effect.

This is common. Could resource competition, but I think Clonefarmer is right about the light and surfaces. The rocks get a lot more light than the back glass and such. I bet if you look in shaded areas of the rock, there is more coralline. Also, new tanks tend to have a lot of die-off, not sure how old it is? but they just aren't stable enough to maintain it for extended periods. Sometime coralline naturally grows better on glass and especially acrylic anyway, so, it may also be able to handle more stressors when growing on those surfaces.
