Calling all VorTech owners..

This is my dream setup, Grim. Id need the WXM along with my Apex Lite to achieve it, correct? Just wow.

ON TOPIC! how many of you are using controllers VS basic vortech hardware?

 

I do have the Apex Lite, but the boss would kill me if I talk about $125 module just to control the MP40s.

 

Just the ES controller here. No money/need for aquarium controller atm.

 

No controller on my tank; relying on only one piece of equipment makes me too nervous.

 

Does anyone have MP40w ES and MP40w (non ES older model)? I know you cant run EcoSmart mode with old one, how does it really work?

 

I've got 2 MP40s on my 90 gallon and I have them running in master and slave. Right now I have them set on "nutrient export mode" but I think only the newer versions have that. I might be wrong.

I used to run reef crest mode and like that one too. But I find the current they create with the "nutrient export mode" quite awesome and keeps my sand nice and clean. This mode is supposed to skim the detritus off the sand and push it up to the top where it can be skimmed out or sent down the overflow.

 

I run 2 mp10wes on my 30g 30" x 14" x 18". They are synced up in the pink mode. Not sure which one that is. My sps and Lps love it. I just use the vortech controller. But after hearing those settings in the apex I want that.
