    I have a chart that lists about 30 wild corals and their locations and what PAR values they were under.... You would be surprised at how much lower they are than many peoples tanks.
    I believe Dana Riddle did the chart....

    So the moral of the thread is:
    "Why can corals thrive on much less light in the wild compared to us having to pound them with light in our tanks?"

    Build a glass house and save money on light's;D
    Then you could make the upstair's bedroom an aquarium....
