    I am using a plastic hydrometer...
    but I do test and retest for "better" accuracy...
    Tank reads at 1.023
    water changes at 1.025...
    trying to get salinity at 1.025

    OK-- I will buy regular salt without any additives...
    Can I wait two weeks though to do a 15 gallon water change?
    Anemone and fish aren't in any immediate danger, right?

    I just re-read the earlier post about your sg already no it shouldn't hurt anything just don't add anything except top off water.

    I just spent 120.00 on the carpet anemone... so perhaps next month.

    take it back to where you got it and get the stuff you need:) your clowns will be fine without and anemone

    I do not have a magnesium testing kit as of yet...
    was working off the two test kits API reef masters and saltwater aquarium
    Neither included that test

    I have those kits too, but realize that you have to buy the Mag test kit seperately. I chose Red Sea.
