Krikey what a read! I absolutely hate plumbing; you are not alone with your troubles. I always used slip into bulkhead. Just the steady tweaking at the beginning to dial everything in is a PITA! Glad you got it worked out.

I see issues. You left the union threaed on the exterior straight threads of the bulkhead and you neglected to put a union or way to disassemble the line to the sump for cleaning. I would have used reinforced vinyl tubing for the overflow to reduce the rushing noise and for ease of maintenance plus better, less restricted flow. Actuall I would probably remove the bulkhead on the sump altogether and run the vinyl tubing down the hole into the sump so it is submerged.

This is a bulkhead leaking thread :).
I have good water flow and doesn't leak. Right now that's a win. Only issue is sump maintenance down the line.
I was running out of time because I'm currently sitting on the beach at jersey shore. I'm gone for 10 days and had to fix the leak. Couldn't have sump offline that long. It may seem easy and even look easy. But that drain line is so close to the sump and not lined up. I hard plumbed and have myself space to cut it off to correct later. I have plans down like to fix some if this. Bottom like I ran out of time and it works. For now. Thanks guys. Appreciate feedback.
