    I'll give it a try...I'm assuming you pierce the Bubble then shoot it with an acid bath? Where can I get a syringe?

    be careful of adding too much muriatic, your ph can change.

    No Ph problems here, never more than two small syringes of 50/50 water and muriatic in my 110 gallon system. Thanks for the heads up BTR!

    So glad to see this thread on bubbble algae (valonia). My tank seems to all of a sudden become overrun with these darned things. The only problem is they will choke out all the corals. I've been pulling out the smaller pieces of rock and picking them off with a dental pick. Oh, man, what a job. I'm now thinking that I'll upgrade to a bigger tank (maybe 210) and clean each piece of rock with the dental pick as I transfer them. If they can be just punctured, this will be so much easier. I've been afraid to do this because of the spores. Guess from what i'm reading, there's no real worry about the spores. Thanks for sharing the info guys!!!!
