I don't know if this is correct place for this post. Here is my problem, I just clean my tank 3 days ago. Now, I can see the slimy brownish algae on my tank again. I hate it. I only used RO/DI water. What the problem here? Is this normal? It build up too fast I think. It's GFO problem?

When you say "clean" you tank, did you stir up your substrate at all? If so, you may have released some nutrients into the water column.

Also, what are your water params?

Sounds like Diatoms, will form on glass, sand and live rock. Nitrates are probably high or running lights to long or bulbs need to be replaced if running t5

It does sound like diatoms. Have you added any new parts to the tank? Adding anything new that has plastic parts can cause a diatom bloom.

Diatoms feed off silicates. They will be there until the silicates released by the new covers are used up. If it is diatoms, then they will go away in time. A pic will help with an ID.
