stingray - is what your adding staying in solution?
if your mag is not adequate - it may be precipitating, falling out of solution
you may be putting it in today and its falling out later on. so you have to add again the next day.

Im running 1470 mag - 440 calc and 9 DKH in an SG of 1.026
Im using Red Sea Coral Pro and getting these numbers ( in fact I got 468 calc with my tropic marin test kit on the newly made water in the bucket)

Makes sense, i will add mag till i get around 1450ppm, then try it again, see how it goes, will update in a few days...

 

Today, i have added epsom salts 3 times, to bring my mag slowly upto 1550ppm, tomorrow i will measure alk and calcium, and be adding as required, which should i add 1st?

 

looks like dinoflagelets i got it a few months back after fighing it for close to half a year I tour down my tank and started over
i hope that it not dino its not fun at all

Thanks for the read up news reef, i can't make up my mind if i have them or not, have took some better pics, looking for some expert opinions, the sooner i know the sooner i can start treatment..

The bubbles may just be due to me pouring the water i mixed the mag in back into the tank, click on a image to get a bigger better view.

 

Dose it blow of If u fan water at it?
