I got two false perculas the other day, ones 1.25inches and ones 1.75 inches and the seem to be paired up. I saw the small one have little seasures so im guessing hes the male. my question is, what should I do to encourage them to breed? they're all by themselves in a 72 gallon, one powerhead, t-5 lighting, 60lbs of live rock, sump, protein skimmer, and currently building a refugium to add on.

would they be able to host a bubble tipped anenome?
is there any food that would help them?
    lunar lights?

    any help would be great.
    thanks.

First off they need to be very comfortable with their surroundings. It will take some time. We put a small clay pot in the tank for them to lay their eggs..

If your serious about breeding clowns avoid the anemone.
Here is an excellent link to a book about clowns. It has a ton of information in it, including breeding: Amazon.com: Clownfishes (9781890087043): Joyce D. Wilkerson: Books
And as Baxter said it takes time. You have a long way to go before they will start breeding ;) At the size they are now, they are most likely not yet at sexual maturity.

The book that Packleader mentioned is more or less the standard for the hobby. I just picked up a few 5 inch clay pots from Home Depot...They work great

i thinking on getting an anenome for them but i dont know if I should.
its a 3inch x 2inch (really small) bubble tip anenome.
    heres my questions...
1.would 4x 54w t5 with individually contoured reflectures be enough light to keep it happy?

    2. Is it big enough for the clown to host, or will they host it at all? also an update, the clowns have grown a bit. now ones 2inches and ones 2.5inches.

    3.would a bta promote/encourage them to breed?
