sorry about your anemone
hope it perks up for you. i wouldnt toss it till it feels slimy to the touch. its foot area will normally start to have deterioration.
oh im not! just talking mad, lol! im taking him back to the store tomorrow!! he has untill lunch time to perk-up or we are taking a trip.......
yeh u definately have the light to support anems..but makes me wonder if the anem may have been in a low light situation for a while and now its kind of a shock to it.
no just a very crappy LFS, Kevin. they had him under mh too. The owner called me back and told me they already sold this thing twice and it was returned twice before they sold it to me, i was told a different story all together! But hey we live, we learn....... I belive they are gonna give me store credit for it, and that is way better than a dead anem!!!
You can try gently putting him on the substrate but against a rock, put on latex gloves first, they are hard to keep but once they are settled they are beautiful, I feed mine a half a silverslide everyday and the odd piece of scallop once in awhile, yours does look sick though.
When I had mine it took about a week for it to die but it completely closed on itself and wouldnt open after that white stringy stuff started coming off him thats how i knew it was time to toss him. If that helps any.
