Point of discussion: What mode do you use for your MP10 for optimal flow in your Biocube? Also, what have you found to be the best placement for it?

I use reef crest. For my tank i have it set about 5 to 6 inches from the water line just a little off center towards the front. I have my return nozzle pointing strait out. This is the only way I can get good flow with out pissing my frogspawns off with too much direct flow.

Is it on the same side as your return or opposite?

Same side, I was worried if I put it on the other side it would keep crud from being sucked into the overflow.

I just added my Mp10 to mine last night and basically put it in the same spot as youre describing so I will see how it works for me. What strength do you have yours on? I was thinking about 1/2 power on either reef crest or nutrient export.

I run 1 dot over half on reef crest. Seems to work well so far.

I run mine about 70% on reef crest. Placement is on the side, ~2.5 inches down right in the middle opposite the return. It almost sucks air, but the little whirlpool doesn't quite make it to the powerhead on that setting when it cycles up to max speed. I did have to gradually get the lps used to that much movement over time.

Here's a new picture taken with a better camera. Still not the best shot but I like it.

Nice! I like the open area, I would include more of it if I was setting up and buying rock again. Next time!
