LOL thanks. The glass just has saltwater steaks on the outside. I don't get much algae growth on the glass. Only have to run the mag float over it about every 3 weeks. Don't know how I managed that but I'll take it. :)

Bare bottom (and loving it) for about 3 months.

    Time to Bump This Thread!

My Biocube Update- I'm going to say that an ATO is pretty much mandatory IMO for the Biocube if you plan to run a Tunze Protein Skimmer.

I've had my Cube going for a little while now while I've been waiting for it to do a mini cycle (was previously established before I got it) and although the water evaporation isn't huge, I haven't been able to dial in my Tunze because even a little evap causes the water in the back to drop quickly.

Anyone else have experience with this? I have two JBJ ATO's so one will be installed this weekend, but I don't know how you can get away without one!

Also, one other note: Putting a YWG and Midas Blenny together in a 29 Biocube is definitely not a good idea. They seem to think they are conspecifics apparently :/

Thanks! I have had lots of fun with it. Aside from a purigen mishap it has been relatively problem free. Water params hold steady and anymore I only check values if something looks "off" . I used to do 3g water change every week, but noticed no difference going to every 2 or 3 weeks and the ato kalk only needs replacement every couple months. I feed every 2 -3 days. It's really quite low maintenance now!
