So i have a question ...in my biocube back..the first chamber is the heater the middle chamber the water flows through filter floss, foam, then chemi pure elite..then into the second part where there is chaeto is..should i move the heater out of the first chamber and put the chaeto in there? My thought is that the chaeto might grow better before the water gets filtered? Or does this not really matter?

I would keep the heater in chamber 1, the water level will never change in there. Chamber 2 and 3 will fluctuate if you don't have an ATO hooked up. I grew Cheato very well in chamber 2 using my media basket.

A stange thing, after returning my Tang I purchaced a mating set of perc's. My perc's sleep on the surface until the light''s kick on. With a bottom full of live rock with many caves why don't they sleep there. Do ther need a buddy to show them what to do? or will they figure it out for themselves when them start to spawn?

You mean the little white dots next to your starfish?

If so I have a lot of them all over my tank and Fuge. I really have no idea what they are but they don't seem to harm anything.
