Big problem help

    sry but i really need some help! my silver dollar looks really bad... Iv never seen anything like this.. il discribe it... Well it looks like its missing scales but theres like a layer of somthing over its body, also it looks like it fins are drying out and when i say drying picture being left out in the sun for a few day and one of his fins have already locked up.. along with the film it looks like it goes over his eyes looks like theres scratches in his eyes.. hes a real hardy fish just by size and age hes TOUGH but idk how much longer iv got so please give me some info on what it possably could be. THANKS Jace

    would i use a testing strip like from a saltwater testing strip? b/c thats all i have.

    I probably wouldn't put anything in the tank 'til you have a better idea of what's wrong. You should probably test your water for pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.

    should the freshwater be the same as the saltwater? in the way of test results?

    hardness looks like a deep orange and alkalinity looks like yellow with a little bit of green ph is a little lighter but thats normal i guess

    looking it up online it looks like it is ick its harder to see the actual "ick" because its shiny silverish color makes it hard to see but from what i read... Fins dying, The spots, It almost fits perfectly. I guess il just have to wait for tomorrow and see if the ick med helped any.
