My latest venture into makeing a sump/fuge for my 55 is two 10g's plumbed together. what is the best way to acomplish this. My problem is that in order you fit both in, i have to turn on on its side to make room for the other, after both are in they can lie side by side. Should I plumb them with side by side bulkherads? should I invent a way to elevate the one im using for a fuge and let gravity feed it into the skimmer/return tank? You guy are smarter than me so I look foreward to hearing your persepctives

im not smarter than anybody (ask my wife)
but i would say - if you have the room, put fuge above the other tank.
drill bottom of fuge, put in standpipe to set water height in fuge.

I like your second Idea better. I would have it gravity feed to your sump.

10 gal glass is too thin and hard to drill. If you put rigid conduit between, you are taking a huge risk of cracking. Acrylic or rubbermaid brute and flexible conduit is better alternative.

ok, I think you are probably right, in this case, a 15 gal for my main sump and i cant find a brute tote that will fit under my stand.

best i could do for tupperware (checked Kmart, lowes, home depot, and target) was a 9X16 thin guy. can I drill a hole then reinforced it with acrylic and aquarium sillicone with the bulkhead and flex tube or do you think it will still crack?
