Best Phosphate and Nitrate test kit??? What do U use?

    I'm def going to do Hanna for Phos, but I would like something other than API for Nitrate. Since I have started my tank I always read zero. I just want to reassure myself with a better test.

    I agree I would like something more sensitive to the nitrate level too.

    I stopped testing for nitrate 10 years ago. It always came up 0. Even when I was doing lab quality testing with AWT.com.

    Hanna for P04, as you've already found. :)

    I rarely test nitrates myself, as they're always at/near zero. However, the Salifert kit is the only one I know of that is capable of giving you a semi-accurate low-range test. It's with this kit I can see nitrates at 0 to 0.2. But even that's not very useful. :)

    Salifert nitrate test kits are easy to use and read. I test nitrates on my 10 gallon nano still, just because of the lack of filtration on it. Hanna phos and alk checkers are the best out there. Super fast and reliable.

    Well I just got the unit in the mail about 10 min ago!

    I did a quick test and I am at .22ppm, from what I have read this is nothing to worry about. Is this true?
