Ballast question on Aqua Medic Ocean light

    EDIT - ahh I see... Reeflex is made by Aqua Medic -
    wow great stats - how did you figure out which ballast was in the Reeflex - I didn't see that on the page..

    i googled it, its an M81. the higher quality one offered for a 150w magnetic ballast

    k+ for the very helpful stats you provided on the other page.

    I am not crazy about rewiring but it doesn't look too bad. What really is persuading me to go with the icecap now is kelvin rating. That is a huge difference between the two. Wow.

    this is just with this particular XM 15k bulb. if you know what kinda bulb your looking at getting, I can maybe get you some closer numbers

    Cool! I have an USHIO 14k HQI I was planning on using with this...

    dont have Ushio 14k :(

    should run similar to the XM data though... The ushios usually burn at a lower kelvin than advertised no matter what. For instance: the 10k actually burns at about 6400k on most ballasts and the 14k burns at like a 10-12k. 20k usually burns at just slightly above 20k (as compared to high 20's-30's with most other bulbs).
    Cant get the exact values for you on this bulb though :-/
