I actually don't have that one as I hadn't heard about it. But I will get some so run it through it paces. But that honestly would not be my first choice. Have you noticed that they sell it for aquariums, ponds ....... and septic tanks.

I'm going go with 3 of the above mentioned products that are often found at the LFS and are stored at room temp and then one more with like characteristics.

So, MicroBacter7, Quick Start, BIO-Spira and Stability. Sound good?

Don't mean to throw a monkey wrench in the program but there is a product out called Frytz Zyme 9 and Frytz Turbo Start. The 9 version is for saltwater and there is a 7 version out for freshwater.

I'm actually going to go with the Turbo Start. Both products contain the same bacteria, but the Turbo Start has greater numbers of bacteria. It's more comparable to the claims of the other products than No. 9.

We'll keep adding to the list as we find new stuff.

    Whats the status?
I'm going to start up a 5g seahorse tank tomorrow and have microbelift special blend OR IO biospira.
I was going to use this and fish food? Sound good?
    I'll report my findings back!

REnee, this is what i'm getting in my 5G seahorse tank. 48 hours in:

amm went from 1.0 to .25
trites went from barely to 1.0-2.0
    trates started showing up

using bio spira and microbe lift, which i realize is gonna skew any results not knowing what which product actually worked or didn't!
