Hey everyone, I recently (about a month) had baby yellow lab cichlids, I got a friend (cichlid expert) to strip my female, then I kept the babies in a 10g. All of a sudden this morning I found 7 of the 14 fish I orginially had dead. The rest are gasping for breath. The water peramaters are all perfect and the temperature of the water is right on! However I did add some declorinated water to the tank yesterday, and added the weekly chemicals such as waste control and cycle. Would it be caused by an overdose in chemicals?

ammonia poisoning, check that first, do daily 20% water changes.

Possibly not enough oxygen in the water. Some declorinators and other chemicals will knock the oxygen level down. Make sure you have good surface agitation.

That should work but a couple of powerheads pointed towards the surface would be better.
