I got a ton of square pin CF bulbs that I can't use. I bought some from Catalina lights and they sent me the wrong ones. This is a good deal man, thanks for sharing.

Well, its official, I just received the bulbs today. I paid $141.00 for 8 96w dual actinic bulbs. Thats just a little over $17. for each bulb, when they normally go for $69 each. Just in case other want the same deal. I dont know if they made a mistake or not, but my mouth is shut.;)

Ya I saw the 96w for $39 on line on sale. My LFS sells them for $45. I need two and figured I should kick down to the locals. So this is buy one get one, but retail prices. Still cheaper.

Now I just don't know what to get. I think I have a 420 and a 460. I definitely have the purple one, but the other one looks so "white" next to it, I can't tell if it is 420 or 10K.

I have Pheonix 14ks, and need to replace the two 96w square pins. Any recomendations? 420, 460, duals?

The dual actinics have both, the 420nm and the 460nm. If you have one thats white and the other is blue, then you have the combo set.

I know I didn't make that clear. I have one bulb that looks whitish blue. I'm pretty sure it's a 420, thought maybe a 10K. The other bulb is definitely purple. So that is a 460. So the back of my tank is "whiter" and the front is purpleish. So I'm trying to decide if I want 2 420s, 2 460 (not really), or dual bulb actinics, or one of each like I have now.

I considered going 10k to offset the bluness of the 14ks. But I want the pop of actinics. Now just need to figure out a set up.

Im sorry but am still confused on what kind of lighting you have. If you have MH with a 14k bulbs, I would get the other bulbs( PC or T-5) dual actinics. The 420nm is the blue-ish color and the 460nm is the purple-ish color, if I remember correctly.
