    Salt creep doesn't take long to accumulate depending on our system. Worth a shot. The buzzing sound is different though.

    I have had mine for about 18 months and no issues, I do remove the floats every 6 months and clean them in a dish of pure vinegar as a PM plan. I do use an Ehiem Compact 600 pump with 1/2" tubing ( it flos more than an Aqualifter and I already had one
