ATI Purple Plus with comparison pic

Should the fiji purple burn red or purple? Since day one, mine has been burning red. This would explain algae only growing on my powerheads and back glass.

 

It should look reddish purple.

 

I finally had time to put my fixture up. Very happy with the results as this is my first setup. fixture is 3x250MH w/ 4 T5HO.

my four T5s are a pair of ati blue+ and a pair of ati purple+. The front bulbs are atiblue+ and the back bulbs are purple+.

I have to find a better camera that will get the correct results. My iphone or digital camera will not pick up the purple whatsoever. the overall color is an awesome light purple, but the images show a dark blue. I even tried changing the whitebalance o no avail


MHs will arrive tomorrrow, so here are my T5s.

 

Very nice, the camera almost always pics up the most dominant light which would be the light it encounters first.

Is the Purple+ better, worse or the same as the Fiji Purple? I will be ordering one or the other soon.

 

I would say comparable but a few $$$ less.
