Bought a 24" 4 bulb fixture. The fixture is approximately 3 months old.

The fan does not go on when I turn on the fixture. The small ballast has 3 plugs, 2 for the bulbs, is the 3rd port for the a fan adapter?

It seems relatively easy to replace the fan, but it does not seem like a fan would need to be replaced in a 3 month old fixture. The fixture is in fantastic shape with no scratches to the splash guard or any indications the fixture is much older than stated.

Any tips on hanging would be of assist as well.

Love the light, kind of miss the shimmer though. It certainly changes the coloration of the corals.

I was trying to find a wiring diagram of ati fixtures. I doubt that the fan feed would come off the ballast. There should be a circuit board that feeds the fans and the power to the ballast. I can't find anything though. I did come across this..

    2. The fan or fans do not turn on
The fans are polarized and will not turn on if the plug/tip on the end of the power supply is not oriented correctly. If the fan or fans do not turn on immediately, pull the plug/tip off the end of the power supply
and rotate the plug/tip 180 degrees and try again. If the fan or fans still do not turn on gently pry up the “ATI” fan guard on the top of the fixture with a flat blade as the fan guard can get pushed down during transit and prevent the fan or fans from spinning freely.

    Maybe that helps?

Thank, it may have changed position in 2 transports. The fan guard comes off easily with a couple screws so I will try that.

    Thank you.

Yeah it is and there is a plug connection not used so I believe I need an adapter.

    Thank you Vinny.

    Hi FB,

Fan works great, just needed 9 volt adaptor, actually had an old one laying around. Fans run really quiet.

    :)

    Nice.

Out of curiosity, what bulb combo is your favorite?
I'm gonna order some ATI's for my 4 bulb fixture and I'm currently looking into combos.
