    If it were a 29 gallon, the CPR SR3 takes up the entire middle chamber.

    If it were a 14 gallon, I would scrape the black paint off the back of the middle chamber, add a small refuge light using two sided velcro, put some chaeto in (I know one website sales refugium chambers that contains the chaeto so it does not travel into the main tank. I would also purchase the biocube protein skimmer and place in there.

    **IMO I would remove the bioballs, unless you are very good about cleaning them on a regular basis (I would at each WC or every other), then remove them, they are nitrate traps when left alone.

    Re-test

    I just did a retest of the Nitrates and some other things and here is what i found!

    New:

    Nitrate (NO-3) = 80 ppm (mg/L)

    pH = 8.0

    PPT Salinity = 27

    Specific Gravity = 1.020

    Ammonia = 0ppm (mg/L)

    still need to do a water change just i wanted to update everyone!

    Add an extra cup of salt in your next mix to get that salinity up some more, you are right on the edge of not good :). Otherwise things are looking better.

    good, yea make sure your new water your adding is 1.026-1.027 so it brings your whole tank's water volume to around 1.024-1.025.. just dont want to raise it to much in one shot.

    if you do a 50% WC now, tomorrow your nitrates should be around 40ppm.. and follow up with at least 1 more if not 2 during next week to get those below 20ppm. everything will be happier in the tank. small price to pay for not doing any WC in 11 months..
