    Hello again.
I ended up getting an Eheim 2217 Canister filter after hearing some bad things about the Ecco line. I purchased 15 lbs of Pukani Dry Rock from Bulk Reef Supply and 5 lbs of Fiji Live Rock from lfs. where do I go from here? and how do I put pictures on here? I want you guys opinions on my rock scape

. Next step is to just run your tank for 2 weeks.. Once you have, do a 15-20 percent water change. Test your water for ammonia and nitrates. This step is critical, the live rock you put in will have die off causing a high spike in ammonia. Do not add fish until the cycle is complete.

Thanks for the info. So, two weeks later, after adding sand and changing the water, and testing, should I add a CUC initially or a fish?

I would add a CUC first once you're SURE you've cycled. Just a small piece of advice, if you're using the canister, make sure to clean it often :)

In rereading through this, I hope you're not thinking that based on Brian's post that you're going to be cycled in two weeks. Just worried you may be thinking that. You could possibly be but a complete cycle takes a while.

Yeah I was gonna wait two weeks then test and if levels were still high wait another week and test again and so on and when they're zero test daily for a week for consistency and THEN get a CUC.
