I need to get a skimomer for my puffer's 20 gallon tank since his 10 gallon filter died, i have a seaclone that does not skimm so i need to get something ASAP! I plan to turn his tank to a FOWLR when i have the spare money so i was looking at skimmers. Is this a good enough skimmer for a tank that will have only one fish and maybe 20 pounds of rock?

Also is this a HOB skimmer, i can't tell or not, i think it is

Your intro says; "Internal", meaning it is not a hang on back. Read the review here; http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_viewi...&utm_medium=cse&utm_campaign=mdcsegooglebase2

It's an internal hang-on filter. You can hang it in the back of the tank, they aren't too big. Personally, I would go for a better powered skimmer for a puffer, since they are messy fish and produce a lot of waste.
The aquaticlife is really geared towards the nano reef with small fish.

You can also use a small pump to pump the water into the tank, use some vinyl tubing. It's much safer than risking your back. 5 gallons of water is about 30-40lbs. :)
