Since you are still in the install stage, have you considered putting down some egg crate between the glass and the rock? I have a fear of a rock scratch causing the glass to crack. It's an inexpensive addition - usually available at your LFS. I use white for the bottom and black for the back and sides.

    Just a thought.

It is actually on top of 3/8 acrylic sheet that all the base rock are supported to with nylon threaded rod which is tapped into the acrylic sheet. Thanks for looking out!!!!!!!

That's funny. I didn't even notice the stand until I read your post. But I agree now that I took a second look at the pics. Rocks look great too.

    Nice set up.
Is your rock glued or adhered to each other? If not you may encounter the top pieces of rock collapsing and possibly causing injury to fish, inverts and corals in due time.
Glad you placed the live rock on top of eggcrate! The less your rock makes contact with your substrate the better as the process of advection and diffusion diminishes.
Just my opinion, but you may want to try and incorporate an opening or two between your rock for better water flow, hidding places and an island/atoll replica.

I like the rock work. It plays off of the overflows very well and gives you options for adding more rock in the corners. Great job.
