I just purchased my first clam yesterday. Its a small Crocea clam, I have a nano 28gal with the 105 watt quad bulb. I placed it in the sand bed, plenty of light and space. Figured the sand would be the best bet for placement. Any advice?

If you have room, I would move it to the top of your rocks. Croceas are not typically found in the sand and need more light than other species.

When you mention to move the clam to the top of the rock, how is the clam first held in place there? I am getting a 2" Maxima and have a great spot on the top of my LR pile but not sure how to keep it there. I doubt adhesive is a good bet.

Great article, thanks for the information.

You usually have to find a bit of a cradle and hope it won't jump off. It can be nearly impossible to keep them there in some cases, so if it continues jumping off, I would let it be and see what happens.
