Just got my aquacontroller 3 and it is awesome...

I was running from the IP address just fine on my computer.. got everything programmed.. tested.. working.. etc...

Now all the sudden I cant acces the page through the ip 192.168.1.50... gives me a http port error...

Anyone know how to fix this?

That whole process could vary a lot with how your network/internet connection are setup, the manual goes over some of the basics so that's a good place to start. I'm at work and set mine up a few months ago so some of the details aren't fresh in my head.

You will need to have port 80 on your router forwarded to your AC3's IP address somehow as well as making sure that and firewalls you have are not blocking this traffic.

Then you will probably want to use a service like you can get at no-ip.com so that you can setup your own domain name like www.cdeboard-ac3.com or something like that rather than having to worry about your router's IP address changing (most people don't have static IP's).

Make sure you have a password on your AC3 and be careful not to open up your firewall too wide, you don't want just anyone to be able to waltz in and mess with your stuff, especially your tank's control.

Hopefully that's a start for ya, it's all I can remember off the top of my head.

Also watch for your local service provider to change your incoming IP address. I have had that happen to me a couple times from Comcast and KOgle has had it happen about 5 times.

Still cant get it.. I am trying to setup a dns through dyndns.org
I got it setup.. when i go to the address it takes me to my router... but the ports arent working properly..

If i set the AC3 to 80.. i can go to 192.168.1.50 and it works... but as soon as i change the port i can not get it to work with the new port.. i even set it high like it recommends... then i go to say 192.168.1.50:8001 and it doesnt work :-(

    I have a linksys wrt54g...

I have setup the port forwarding.. and also setup the dyndns.org settings through my router..

This is driving me crazy lol

Try getting it to work on port 80 and then see if you can get it to work on another port if you can. I've just set mine up on port 80 though, I didn't bother with anything else, if I remember right there was something that changed recently that caused problems working on ports other than 80.

Also, do you have the latest firmware revision for the AC3? I updated mine. Check out the Neptune site for instructions on how to do that.

You need to make sure your ISP is not blocking some ports. There should be some information on this on the ISP's web site. I had to change the default port on ours to access ours from the internet. You can also use the link to check your ports.

Be sure your linksys firmware is up to date as well, they are famous for shipping new products with out of date firmware revisions
