Aptasia on a bad spot on my clam?

    The thing is, how do you guys know its a bad idea without trying it out or find results using accurate tests?

    and if you guys opinion think its a bad idea, isn't there a better more polite way to say it? other than insultiong you and make you look dumb?

    Our tank got zapped once by a damaged power cord from a powerhead that was in our sump. Killed a 10" clam and all of our soft corals. Not a good idea I'm afraid.

    sorry for your loss.

    like I said, it depends on how much electricity goes through.

    btw, any update on teh aiptasia?

    Oh yeah...even I almost forgot the subject of this thread. I added 3 peppermints yesterday (6/23). So far the aptasia is still there, but we'll see. The peppermints are pretty small and still roaming all over my tank. Maybe they'll find the target!!!

    a quick update...

    As of today (6/28) I cannot find any remnants of aptasia at all. Even though I rarely, if ever see the peppermints, they must be doing their job! Thanks to those who offered advice!
