    If I had 4inches of sewage in my basement the last thing I would be worried about would be my reef tank lol.

    That depends on how much you are wiling to spend. :p ;)

    You could get a honda generator which you would have to start up yourself and then just plug right into it. That would cost several hundred dollars.

    Your other option would be to get a generator that supports your whole house electricity (or just the tank if you got a smaller size). I think they start around $1,000 and go up form there. My grandparents have one of these for their house, but I forget what size ti is and how much they payed. They bought it like 5 years ago.

    This is a different brand than what they have, same idea though.
