Anyone using Coralvue bulbs?

Anthony I think you are talking about the OLD 250 watt ballast when you say 7 inches as I saw a photo of them and linked it below.

 

Yes you are correct. The new ballast also runs HQI. I didn't take them out of the box yet and I went by the old measurements.

 

Very cool, ya know this thread is about a month too old. I just bought the Hamilton 250W ballast w/ pendant and 14000k HQI. The Ballast is kinda cheap looking but the rest is great. Have to mount it after I get water in my 40G this week end. I hope

I really like the new design CoralVue has on this ballast and it looks and feels solid. Now to mention it looks COOL... I am stoked. Can't wait to build my canopy.

I just purchased a Coralvue 12K and found it a tad on the blue side to please me. I pulled it right out and boxed it up and would like to sell it  so I can buy a Coralvue 10K. The link (posted earlier) showing the comparison is very close to correct on the color. If anyone is interested in buying this 175watt 12K bulb, please send me a PM.
