    Hello and thanks for taking a look. I just bought my saltwater tank used and had 2 of these growing in my tank. My friend says its aiptaisia but I don't think it is.

    Aptasia - not a welcomed addition to the reef. Lots of posts on this site how to get rid of it, just do a search and you will be inudated with information.

    Aiptasia...get rid of it ASAP..peppermint shrimp.

    peppermint shrimp dont always work. My three dont touch them. Better off to use aptashia X, hot water injected in it or other chemicals for them.

    yes pepermint shrimp does not always eat it. if it has been in lfs long time it may be used to eat fish food. it depends on your luck. so far my luck was not that good :)

    Your friend was correct. I use "Joes' Juice".

    Aiptasia...I inject them with a needle of kalkwasser paste. Works pretty well if you get them good.

    +1 on the kalk paste used it to wipe out the ones I had like burying them in a concrete vault

    I inject mine with calcium then they die off with in couple days
