Anyone care to guess when I switched from LED to T5?

I'm not sure if that's possible, but it looks like this picture is with LED?

The moon lights are still on and its confusing my iPhone a bit, but its actually under the first two t5's. My appologies for my phone runing the effect.

If you look at the picture though, there is a dark blackish purple base color that suddenly changes to light blue. The sudden change to light blue marks the day I took down my LEDs and replaced them with t5s. I'll try get better pictures. My other corals show similar improvement.

Shoot, back in Texas, we all went from LED's back to T5's!

He He, J/K - I am a Texan, even though right now I live in the Midwest.

I spent most of my adult live in and around the Houston/Galveston area.

My first degree- Hook 'em Horns!

Anyways, I'm not sure I understand your post, I'm thinking you might be trying to show us a problem with a coral?

Yeah, I live in the Galleria area now, though I grew up in Sugarland.

I was trying to be cute and in combination with a bad picture, I've done a terrible job of communicating. Let me start over.

The above picture is of my rainbow montipora. As you can see, the blue edge is growing well and it is now quite healthy. If you look further back however, the base is blackish purple and quite ugly. The line that demarks the change from one color to the other also marks the day I took down my LED's and switched to t5's. As soon as I did that, I started seeing healthy, pretty blue growth. My other corals are growing extremely well now, but the monty shows the change very clearly. If I had a better picture it would help, but I'll upload one when I do.

    Make more sense?

Quick update, last pic from the LED era around the beginning of February.

Either way, you got a really nice looking tank.

so you are saying T5's are that much better than LEDs?

I have seen AMAZING growth under LED lighting compared to T5HO

Not at all. I'm saying the t5s have been that much better for me. I have no beef with LEDs. I think the technology is wonderful and I wish I could have gotten it to work.

Looking back I think there are just too many options and too much adjustment. All that controllability allowed me to set my lights way wrong and my tank paid the price. The t5s give me a narrow set of well understood variables. I'm less likely to mess things up.
