Any DIY for 55 gal canopy?

    I would like to make a canopy for a 55 gallon tank with hang on filters and that I could house my coralife power compact lights in. Anyone have any plans etc that I might be able to use to make such a thing?

    Sorry I don't have any plans, but I have seen a lot of DIY hoods.

    Most are simple boxes with the corner pieces recessed to sit on the tank. the "skin" of the hood slides over the tank. you can hinge the top or have openings in the front.
