    And just to clarify, neither Zoas nor Candy Cane corals do not sting (fish or corals). Just coincidence they happened around the same time.

    lol. I was hoping they do sting because that would eliminate sick fish. it was weird when this clown that I added, that night he swam around the candy cane and then started having a seizure. I was convinced it was the coral since the other clown is still alive today and doing great.

    So if it was a parasite or marine velvet or something, what do I need to do to my tank so make sure its safe to add fish? Will the water changes be enough?

    Would using a UV sterilizer work?

    I'm not sure on what you can do besides water changes.....with corals in the tank, you can't really add in medications......I wouldn't think running a UV could hurt but I'm really not knowledgeable enough about UV's to know.....

    Doing WCs will do nothing.

    Using UV will do nearly nothing (unless you're running a HUGE one).

    The system needs to be free of fish for 60-90 days.

    it's the longest wait ever it feels like. and every time you go to a pet store and see a fish you wanna get it. :-(.
