Thanks guy. I'm only relaying what others have taught me. The real credit goes to those companies and innovators that are true enthusiasts that put a lot of hard work into making our hobby better.

I was about to start a thread asking about setting up and adjusting my new skimmer. K+ for saving me the trouble.

Thanks for the write up. I currently have a MaxiJet 1200 and is really loud. I have my fish tank in m bedroom. I saw you review on the pumps and came across on the PSk 2500, you said is pretty quiet but reviews on marinedepot said is loud. Are there any good pumps that are quiet? On a scale 1-10 how loud would u rate the maxi jet 1200 vs the psk 2500?

Tough to say. I had a MJ 900, it was pretty quiet, but it was a small powerhead. Not sure if a MJ 1200 and a PSK 2500 would match up for skimmer duty. The PSK 2500 is a quiet pump. you will always see one person say it is silent while another one says it's loud. It is a very subjective thing since nobody provides noise ratings. In general Sicce pumps are pretty quiet compared to most out there.
