alk levels ?

    if all your using in the buffer at those small quantities your not that far off of meeting the consumption rate. the seachem carbonate powder lowers pH. based off of 70 gallons of working water with 8 tsp of buffer on your tank the daily consumption rate is 3 dkH. if i did my math right.

    i'm using just a bit more than half a tsp a day of seachem carbonate powder for about 70gallons.i was just concerned cause i've never had to add such a large amount of anything to my tank before.by the way the tank seems to be responding well to the higher alk.all accept some zoos and an open brain.
