    What is growing on the tip of my frag and frag plug base??

    Was the base white previously? If not then it looks like RTN to me...

    If it was white before and the frag is recovering..then it could be any kind of algae.

    From what I can remember it was not white, about a week ago I placed the frag higher up in the tank but there is a lot less flow.

    I from what I can tell it may be from flow if it's RTN.

    I'm not 100% certain but in a couple of the pics it looks likes lil dots on the acro, have you checked for red bugs?

    What pics? I have nice PE and I don't see any bugs on the pic above. There are new polyps forming, that may be what you are seeing. :-/

    Or are you talking about the flesh of the coral?

    here i drew a little arrow next what i thought looked like a bug. The frag plug is in the best focus so i can't tell for sure. But also you are asking what is going on. Red bugs do eat away at smooth skin acros and you will see dead spots show up just like you are asking about that will grow algae. It was just an idea to look for.

    there hard to see. I had to use macro settings and a tripod to get the pic good enough before i could id them when i had em before. If it is, Interceptor will be your best friend. Possibly not your inverts though.
