I have some algae growing amongst some coral. I know that if my parameters were correct that I wouldn't be having this problem, and I know that the real solution here is to decrease the amount of nutrients in my system. But.. what could I buy that would eat this algae while not disturbing the coral too much and not add to my bio-load?

    Thanks, as always.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
You need to make sure it's not bryopsis first. Completely different method of treatment. I can not tell from the image if it has that ferny appearance.

That looks like the stuff that I have. Does it stay that length? I'll let you know when I find out what eats it. Algaefix didn't kill it. Added three small Longspine Urchins. Can't tell if they eat the green algae because they're having a party with the red algae and coralline.

From the picture, doesn't look like bryopsis to me. That would be bad. I'd rather have aiptasia. :p

I don't think it's bryopsis either but here is a closer look anyway.

I'd hate to add another fish just to get rid of a little patch of algae.

Try Emerald crabs, they eat all algae IME including Bryopsis.

Thanks, I will give that a try. My tank is finally mature enough I think. Last emerald didn't last too long.

GFO, Chemipure or Bio Pellets, these will knock out your Phosphate levels in the future.
