    Well, if you got a a system with two tanks, one lit by blue T5HO's and nothing else and another tank with a ton of DR and WW leds with a few RB algae will probably grow better under the leds due to spectrum, but under all DT circumstances nutrients is what grows most of the algae.

    It's been stated by several now, but algae is a water parameter problem first and foremost. If it has the right fuel, any light will grow it.
