    Media lasts a LONG time....

Mine paid your itself in less than a year.

THe small systems are typically fine for most aquariums.

    Cost Equations...

X gallons evaporation per week plus Y gallons water change per week equals Total Gallons per week.

Total Gallons per week times cost of RO/DI from fish store.
plus gas, time and head ache all the time.

$200-300 for an RO-DI at home was an easy choice for me.

Media lasts a long time... I've had mine over a year and media is still good.

Based on those calculations it would take about 4 months to pay off a 200.00 unit which is a good ROI because it would then save me hundreds for the balance of the year and each year going forward. That $50.00 a month could be a sweet upgrade lol
